Please Read:
Sew these 4 - patch blocks with a scant (slightly small) 1/4” seam allowance.
Achieve a scant 1/4" seam allowance by moving the needle position 1 tick to the right.
If you've never sewn with a scant 1/4" before, test on scraps.
Sewing with a scant 1/4" allows for squaring the blocks once they are completed and generally results in more accurate measurements.
Reduce stitch length to a 2.0.

Using the 3 1/2" strips of each fabric that were cut from Clue 2:
Sub-cut a 3 1/2" x 30" of 2 background strips and 1 each of the main and accent fabric.

4 Patch Construction:
Strip Pieced Method:
Lay one Background strip RST with one Main Strip.
Sew the 30" length of the strip.
Press to the darker fabric.
Square one edge of the strip set, then sub-cut 8 - 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles.
Repeat with the other Background strip and the Accent strip.
Lay the 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles on top of one another with the main and accent fabrics opposite one another, pinning the seam allowances together.
Make 8 - 4 patch blocks.
Square blocks to 6 1/2".
